Reader-list privacy notice

What the signup saves

Your email address, the time you sign up, the version of the consent text, a source label such as “website” or “Instagram”. The website does not collect your name, payment details or postal address.

How it is used

With your consent, your address will be used for news about the books, the podcast and related project updates. The reader list and its consent details are stored in Brevo, our email service. It is not published or sold. Newsletters are sent through Brevo when Sam has updates to share; no automatic welcome email is currently configured.

Leaving the list

You can withdraw consent at any time. Brevo newsletters include an unsubscribe link. You can also email Sam to ask for removal, access, correction or deletion. Brevo may keep your unsubscribe status so you are not added back to mailings by mistake. Email Sam if you would like your contact record deleted.

How long information is kept

The address is kept while you remain subscribed, or until the project’s reader list is closed. Brevo may retain unsubscribe records, and service providers may keep operational logs and backups under their own retention rules.

Other services

This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. The hosting service processes normal connection information to deliver and protect the site. Your signup is sent securely from the website server to Brevo; Brevo also processes subscription preferences and email-delivery information. Fonts may be served by Google Fonts, which receives standard connection information. If a Spotify player is connected, it will load only after you choose to load it; Spotify then handles your data under its own privacy policy.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy of the personal information held about you, and may complain to your relevant data-protection authority. Email Sam to exercise a right or discuss a concern.
